The method (Out of 100): p% of a number = number × p ÷ 100. Profit = SP − CP; loss = CP − SP. Profit % (or loss %) = profit (or loss) ÷ CP × 100. Selling price at p% profit = CP + p% of CP; at p% loss = CP − p% of CP. Simple interest = P × R × T ÷ 100; amount = P + SI. % increase or decrease = change ÷ old value × 100.
