The method (Points in a line): Tenths: 1st digit after the point. Hundredths: 2nd digit. Add or subtract: line up the points, fill gaps with 0, work as whole numbers. × 10 → point 1 place right; × 100 → 2 places right. ÷ 10 and ÷ 100 move it left. Write answers without extra zeros: 4.50 → 4.5.
