The method (Same denominator first): Mixed → improper: whole × denominator + numerator, over the same denominator. Unlike fractions: use a common denominator (the LCM), then add or subtract the numerators. Answers can be improper, like 7/6. 1 kg = 1000 g, 1 m = 100 cm, 1 km = 1000 m, 1 L = 1000 mL, ₹1 = 100 paise: 250 g = 0.25 kg. Compare decimals by writing both with the same number of decimal places: 0.50 > 0.45.
