Class 7 Maths Worksheet: Fractions and Decimals
The method (Flip and multiply): a/b × c/d = (a × c)/(b × d), then simplify. A whole number n is n/1. a/b ÷ c/d = a/b × d/c. Decimal × decimal: multiply as whole numbers; the answer has as many decimal places as both numbers together — 1.2 × 0.3 = 0.36. Decimal ÷ decimal: multiply both by 10 (or 100) first — 2.4 ÷ 0.6 = 24 ÷ 6 = 4.
