The method (Same signs plus, different signs minus): (+) × (+) = (+), (−) × (−) = (+), (+) × (−) = (−), (−) × (+) = (−). Division follows the same rules. Work out the sizes first: (−6) × 7 → 6 × 7 = 42, then the sign: −42. Many factors: an even number of minus signs → positive; odd → negative. Scores with minus marks: add the plus marks, take away the minus marks.
