The method (90, 180, equal): Complement of a = 90 − a. Supplement of a = 180 − a. Lines crossing: vertically opposite angles are equal; a linear pair adds up to 180°. Parallel lines: corresponding angles equal, alternate interior angles equal, interior angles on the same side add up to 180°. One angle d° more than the other: bigger = (total + d) ÷ 2.
