Short-Term and Long-Term Memory Worksheet
Memory tip (A small desk and a big cupboard): Short-term memory: a number you just heard, a carry while adding, directions told just now, an OTP you just got. Long-term memory: your home address, how to ride a bicycle, your mother tongue, tables learned long ago. Short-term holds only a few things, so group digits into chunks: 8 digits as 4 chunks means 8 − 4 = 4 fewer things to hold.
