Class 2 and Class 3 · ages 6–9 · about 10–15 minutes · you need: a sharp pencil and an eraser; a thick pencil or crayon.
Tip for parents and teachers: Short daily practice works best: one row a day keeps the joins smooth. Watch for letters that start in the wrong place — in cursive almost every small letter starts on the base line. Hold the pencil with the thumb and two fingers (a “tripod grip”). Young children tire quickly: stop after a few rows and come back later.
It suits Class 2 and Class 3 — roughly ages 6–9. Younger children can do it with help; older ones can use it for quick revision.
