Thinking tip

Ask first, then think — “every questioning skill of Part 1 in one test”

  1. Find the skill in the question: thinking habits, question words, open or closed, clear or unclear, or claim and reason.
  2. Use that lesson’s tip — how do you know; who / when / where / why / how; yes-no or not; what detail is missing; is there a real reason?
  3. Read every option before you choose.

Use it for: Revision after Part 1 and before moving on to evidence.

Worked example: 🧠 What does critical thinking mean? → clear, fair thinking

  1. It is about thinking carefully, not about criticising people.
  2. So it means clear, fair thinking.

Check: Try it: explain to a family member, in your own words, what critical thinking means ✓
