What is spoken English for kids?

Spoken English is about using English out loud — saying hello, asking for things, talking about your day — not just writing answers in a notebook. This course is made for Indian children aged 6 to 16. Little ones (6–8) start with words they can see and say: greetings, numbers, colours, family, body and animals. Children of 8–12 learn everyday English for food, clothes, home, school, routine, weather, hobbies and feelings. Older children (11–16) practise asking questions, polite requests, past and future tenses, describing words and real role-plays. Two more parts build the grammar blocks of everyday speech: ages 6–9 learn the ABC, this and these, have and has, in, on and under, there is and there are, and How many?; ages 8–11 learn likes and doesn’t like, whose and mine, the -ing form, can and can’t, Would you like …? and telling the time. Every lesson has key words with pictures and Hindi meanings, model sentences to listen to and repeat, a short dialogue, unlimited practice questions with “Show me how” help, and a 20-question test with a badge.

Spoken English for Kids questions

How can my child learn to speak English fluently?

Speak a little English every day. Start with short, useful sentences (greetings, asking for things, talking about the day), listen and repeat aloud, and use the new words at home. Short daily practice and lots of praise build confidence faster than grammar rules alone.

English kaise sikhe aur bolna kaise sikhe? (Hindi)

हर दिन 10–15 मिनट: पहले शब्द सुनें और दोहराएँ, फिर छोटे वाक्य बोलें, फिर छोटी बातचीत करें। TalentJR के Spoken English पाठों में हर शब्द और वाक्य सुनकर बोलने का अभ्यास है, “Say it!” में बोलकर स्टार मिलते हैं — बिल्कुल मुफ़्त।

Bachche ko English bolna kaise sikhaye? (Hindi)

रोज़ थोड़ा-थोड़ा अंग्रेज़ी बोलने का अभ्यास कराएँ: पहले नमस्ते, धन्यवाद, अपना नाम बताना जैसे छोटे वाक्य, फिर खाना, स्कूल और दिनचर्या के बारे में बातें। गलतियों पर डाँटें नहीं, शाबाशी दें — हर पाठ में शब्दों के हिंदी अर्थ भी दिए गए हैं।

What is the right age to start spoken English?

Children can start as early as 5–6 years with simple words and greetings. This course is for ages 6–16: Part 1 suits ages 6–8, Part 2 ages 8–12, Part 3 ages 11–16, Part 4 ages 6–9 and Part 5 ages 8–11. Younger children can do Part 4 after Part 1, and older children can start straight from Part 2, 3 or 5.

My child understands English but is shy to speak. What should we do?

That is very common. Let your child repeat model sentences aloud, then practise short dialogues with you at home. Start with topics they love — food, games, animals — and never laugh at mistakes. Confidence grows with every sentence they say.

Does this course teach grammar?

Yes, but through speaking. Part 2 brings in is/are, there is/there are and -s with he and she. Part 3 covers question words, polite requests, past tense, going to and will, and comparing with -er and -est. Part 4 builds the basics — a and an, capital letters, this/these, have/has, in/on/under, there is/there are and How many? — and Part 5 adds likes/doesn’t like, whose and ’s, the -ing form, can/can’t, some/any and telling the time. Always with sentences children can use.

Can children practise speaking, not just reading?

Yes. Every lesson has listening questions, sentences to say aloud, a short dialogue to role-play, and a “say it aloud” check. For live speaking practice with feedback, a TalentJR teacher can take online classes.

How do I get a spoken English certificate?

Sign in and pass the 20-question test of a lesson (16 or more right) to earn its badge. Pass every lesson in a part — Part 1 is lessons 1–6, Part 2 is 7–14, Part 3 is 15–20, Part 4 is 21–27, Part 5 is 28–33 — and you get that part’s certificate, with a code anyone can check.

Is this spoken English course free?

Yes. All 33 lessons, practice, tests, worksheets, badges and certificates are free. Live classes with a TalentJR spoken English teacher (online or at home) are paid — request a call back for fees.
