How TalentJR earns
- Everything you learn on your own stays free: courses, games, worksheets, board solutions, CBSE notes and the AI tutor.
- TalentJR earns only when a family pays for a tutor’s classes: we keep a small platform fee from that payment, and the tutor gets the rest.
- The platform fee is agreed with the tutor before they start and is part of the price you see — there is no extra charge for families.
- This pays for finding students, ID checks, safe chat, payments and refunds, and support.
⭐ Ratings and who is shown first
- Only students who are connected with a tutor (or their parents) can rate them — one rating per tutor, which they can update later.
- Ratings are 1 to 5 stars with a short review. Phone numbers, emails and links in reviews are hidden.
- TalentJR shows ✓ Verified tutors first, then tutors with the best ratings. A single rating can’t push a tutor to the top — we use an average that grows more reliable with more ratings.
- Reviews can be reported; the TalentJR team checks them and can hide unfair ones.
🔒 Safe for children
- No open feed and no private messages between children and strangers. Friends only with a private friend code or from the same class.
- Every tutor chat is visible to the student’s linked parents.
- Phone numbers, emails and links are hidden in notes, chats and reviews.
- “Report” on every post and message — the TalentJR team reviews reports.
- Tutors are adults who applied to teach; ✓ Verified tutors have had their application and ID checked.
Questions
Is it free to find a tutor on TalentJR?
Yes. Finding tutors, sending requests, joining classes and chatting are free. Paid classes will be paid through TalentJR when online payments start; until then, classes are free.
Why should I pay through TalentJR and not to the tutor?
Paying through TalentJR protects you: the tutor is paid after the classes happen, you get a receipt, and TalentJR helps with refunds. Paying a tutor directly breaks the tutor rules and has no protection.
How does TalentJR earn money?
From a small platform fee on paid tutor classes, agreed with the tutor before they start. Free learning on TalentJR stays free.
Can parents see the chat?
Yes. Once a parent links their child with the family code, they can read and write in every chat between their child and a tutor.
How are tutors ranked?
✓ Verified tutors come first, then tutors with better ratings from connected students and parents.
Who can become a tutor?
Anyone 18 or older can apply free on the Teach on TalentJR page. Approved tutors with a checked ID get the ✓ Verified badge.
