Thinking tip

Reason before you conclude — “every reasoning skill of Part 3 in one test”

  1. Find the skill: cause and effect, does it follow, assumption, comparison or thinking trap.
  2. Use that lesson’s tip — cause before “so”; sure or can’t tell; maybe, let me check; compare per day; name the trap.
  3. For comparisons, divide first, then compare.

Use it for: Revision after Part 3 and before moving on to decisions.

Worked example: 🔗 What is a cause? → why something happens

  1. The cause is the reason something happens.
  2. So a cause is why something happens.

Check: Try it: explain one cause-and-effect chain from your science or history book to a friend ✓
