Cost-plus pricing is the simplest way to set a price: take the cost of one item and add a markup, a percent of the cost. With a 25% markup on a ₹40 bookmark, the markup is 40 × 25 ÷ 100 = ₹10 and the price is ₹50. Then check the price against what your target customers can pay and what rivals charge — a price below cost always means a loss.
