Mean = sum of values ÷ number of values. Median = middle value after arranging in order (average of the two middle ones if the count is even). Mode = the value that occurs most often.
Frequency table: mean = Σfx ÷ Σf.
Grouped data (Class 10): mean = Σf·x ÷ Σf with x = class mark; median = l + ((n/2 − cf) ÷ f) × h; mode = l + ((f₁ − f₀) ÷ (2f₁ − f₀ − f₂)) × h.
What is the empirical relation between mean, median and mode?
3 × median = mode + 2 × mean (approximately), used in Class 10 statistics.
