Yesterday was a rainy day. Dark clouds covered the sky and it rained heavily in the afternoon. The streets were full of water and children floated paper boats. The air became cool and fresh. Frogs croaked and peacocks danced. I sat by the window with my family and enjoyed hot pakoras.
I have a pet dog named Bruno. He is brown with a white patch on his face. He likes milk, bread and biscuits. Every evening I take him for a walk in the park. At night Bruno guards our house and barks at strangers. He is very loyal and I love him a lot.
My favourite festival is Diwali. It comes in October or November. We clean our house and decorate it with lights and rangoli. In the evening we light diyas and pray to Goddess Lakshmi. We wear new clothes and share sweets with our friends and neighbours. I like Diwali because the whole family is together and everyone is happy.
My Mother. Hints: what she does every day — how she helps you — her nature — your feelings.
Trees Are Our Friends. Hints: oxygen — fruits and shade — birds — wood and medicines — soil and rain — what we should do.
My Favourite Game. Hints: name of the game — how it is played — when and where you play — what it teaches you.
✅ Answer key — Paragraph writing — set B
My mother is the most important person in my life. She wakes up early and cooks tasty food for all of us. She helps me with my homework and tells me stories at night. When someone is ill, she takes care of them. She is kind, patient and hardworking. I love my mother very much.
Trees are our best friends. They give us oxygen to breathe, fruits to eat and shade on hot days. Birds build their nests in them. Trees give us wood, paper and medicines. Their roots stop the soil from washing away, and forests bring rain. We should plant more trees and take care of them.
My favourite game is cricket. It is played between two teams of eleven players with a bat and a ball. I play cricket with my friends every evening in the park. It keeps me fit and teaches me teamwork. I want to play for my school team one day.
About 60–80 words, or 6–8 sentences, about one topic.
