My best friend is Aman. He studies in my class and sits next to me. He is tall, cheerful and always ready to help others. We play cricket together in the evening and share our tiffin at school. When I am sad, he makes me laugh. I am lucky to have a friend like him.
My school is a big and beautiful school in my town. It has a playground, a library, a computer lab and many bright classrooms. Our teachers are kind and help us learn something new every day. We play games, sing songs and take part in competitions. I love my school because I have many good friends there.
My favourite festival is Diwali. It comes in October or November. We clean our house and decorate it with lights and rangoli. In the evening we light diyas and pray to Goddess Lakshmi. We wear new clothes and share sweets with our friends and neighbours. I like Diwali because the whole family is together and everyone is happy.
A Visit to the Zoo. Hints: when and with whom — animals you saw — what you enjoyed most — how you felt.
My Mother. Hints: what she does every day — how she helps you — her nature — your feelings.
My Favourite Game. Hints: name of the game — how it is played — when and where you play — what it teaches you.

Last Sunday I went to the zoo with my parents. We saw lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes and many colourful birds. The monkeys jumped from branch to branch and made us laugh. We also enjoyed a ride on the toy train. It was a fun day and I learnt a lot about animals.
My mother is the most important person in my life. She wakes up early and cooks tasty food for all of us. She helps me with my homework and tells me stories at night. When someone is ill, she takes care of them. She is kind, patient and hardworking. I love my mother very much.
My favourite game is cricket. It is played between two teams of eleven players with a bat and a ball. I play cricket with my friends every evening in the park. It keeps me fit and teaches me teamwork. I want to play for my school team one day.
