Rajarshi Shahu Scholarship (EBC): eligibility and how to apply
राजर्षी छत्रपती शाहू महाराज शिक्षण शुल्क शिष्यवृत्ती
A fee scholarship of the Government of Maharashtra for students from economically weaker families in recognised courses. It is listed on the MahaDBT portal under the Directorate of Higher Education and the Directorate of Technical Education.
Who is eligible
Government Resolution of 31 March 2018 (Higher and Technical Education Department, No. TEM-2018/PR.35/TANSHI-4): for students of economically weaker families admitted through the centralised admission process (CAP) or the prescribed admission process to recognised courses of the Higher and Technical Education; Medical Education and Drugs; and Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries departments — management-quota and institute-level admissions are excluded — the combined yearly income limit of BOTH parents is ₹8 lakh (raised from ₹6 lakh), from the academic year 2018-19. The scheme's other terms are those of the GR of 7 October 2017.
