Time worksheets — read the clock, with answers
Free telling time worksheets with clock faces: o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to, and 5-minute times — Class 1 to 3, with answers.
💡 Learn it first
The short hand shows the hour; the long hand shows the minutes. Long hand on 12 → o’clock . On 6 → half past (:30). On 3 → quarter past (:15). On 9 → quarter to the next hour (:45). Each number on the clock is 5 minutes for the long hand: on 4 → 20 minutes, on 8 → 40 minutes.

At what age can children tell time? Most children read o’clock and half past around age 6 (Class 1), and 5-minute times by age 7–8 (Class 2–3).
