Who it is for

Nursery / LKG and UKG (KG) · ages 3–6 · about 15–20 minutes · you need: crayons or colour pencils; a pencil and a ruler.

How to use this worksheet

  1. Look at the picture and name everything you can see.
  2. Choose a colour for each part — real-life colours or your own ideas.
  3. Colour slowly and try to stay inside the lines.
  4. Say the letter, number or word the picture is teaching.

Tip for parents and teachers: Colouring inside the lines builds the finger control children need for writing. Ask questions while they colour (“What sound does Umbrella start with?”). Drawing straight lines from dot to dot is good pencil practice too. If a line is wrong, talk about why rather than just erasing it.
