Every component has its own job. A resistor limits the current; a capacitor stores a little charge for a moment and smooths a wobbly supply; a diode lets current go one way only, and an LED is a diode that glows. A buzzer beeps, a motor spins, a potentiometer is a resistance knob, an LDR senses how bright it is, a thermistor senses how hot it is, a fuse blows if the current is too high and a transistor can boost a small signal or act as a switch.

One part, one job — “every component does one main job in a circuit”
Use it for: Opening a parts kit for the first time (with an adult), reading parts lists and physics lessons on components.
Check: The LED circuit in Lesson 16 uses a resistor for exactly this ✓
