Memory tip

Letters, rhymes and chunks — “the right memory trick for every list, fact and number”

1. Acronyms and sentences: first letters, in the same order as the list.
2. Rhymes: listen for the same ending sound. Chunking: same digits, same order, just grouped.
3. Choose the tool: numbers → chunks, lists → acronym or sentence, one fact → rhyme.

Use it for: Revising Part 2 before you move on to pictures and places.

Worked example: 🔤 “SWG” helps you remember the colours of the Indian flag, top to bottom. What does letter 3 (G) stand for? → green
