Sensors are the robot’s inputs. A touch sensor is a small switch that is pressed when the robot bumps into something. A light sensor measures how much light comes back — high over white, low over black — so it can follow a black line. A sound sensor hears a clap. An ultrasonic distance sensor measures how far away a wall is. A gyro sensor measures turning, and a camera can spot colours or read codes. A temperature sensor warns if motors get too hot.
