Pop-Up Greeting Card for Kids (Handmade Card)
Make a handmade pop-up greeting card for Diwali, Rakhi, Teachers’ Day or a birthday — two small cuts make a picture jump out when the card opens.
What your pop-up greeting card can look like
Materials
- 1 sheet of A4 chart paper or thick paper
- Coloured paper scraps
- Glue stick
- Crayons or sketch pens
Tools
- Child-safe scissors
- Ruler and pencil
Steps
- Fold the sheet in half to make a card.
- On the folded edge, draw two lines 3 cm long and 3 cm apart, in the middle.
- Cut along the two lines through both layers.
- Fold the flap between the cuts forward and back to crease it, then open the card and push the flap inside — it makes a little step.
- Draw and cut out a picture (a diya, cake, star or flower) and glue it to the front of the step.
- Decorate the front of the card and write your message inside.
- Close the card gently and open it to see the picture pop up.
⚠️ Safety noteUse child-safe scissors and cut only through paper. Glue the picture to the step only, not to the card behind it, or it will not pop.
