Paper Rangoli for Kids (Coloured Paper Rangoli)
Make a round rangoli with coloured paper petals on a cardboard circle — a mess-free festival craft for kids that can be kept and used again every year.
What your paper rangoli can look like
Materials A cardboard or chart-paper circle (trace a big plate) Coloured paper or old magazine pages Glue stick Sketch pens
Tools A plate, a bowl and a bangle to trace circles Pencil Child-safe scissors
Steps
Trace a big plate on the card and cut out the circle (ask an adult if the card is thick). Trace a bowl and then a bangle in the centre to make three rings. Cut or tear coloured paper into petals, leaves and small squares. Glue petals all around the inside ring, all pointing out. Fill the next ring with a repeating pattern: red, yellow, red, yellow… Fill the centre with one bright colour and add a paper flower or a circle on top. Draw dots and lines with sketch pens and place the rangoli at the door or on a table.
⚠️ Safety note Ask an adult to cut thick card. Clean up paper bits so no one slips.
