Resistors in series add up: 100 Ω + 220 Ω = 320 Ω. Resistors in parallel give the current extra paths, so the total is smaller than any one of them. Two equal resistors in parallel give half of one (two 100 Ω → 50 Ω); n equal resistors give one ÷ n. Once you know the total resistance, Ohm’s law gives the current: I = V ÷ R total.

Add in a row, share side by side — “series resistances add; n equal resistors in parallel give one ÷ n”
Use it for: Physics lessons on combining resistors and planning a circuit with the resistors you have.
Check: 367 − 47 = 320 = 100 + 220 ✓
