    💡 Need a hint?

A flipped edge on top (white facing the side): put it at the front, then U' R' F R. An edge in the middle layer: turn its side face to bring it into the bottom or up to the top — and turn back anything you moved out of the cross.

    What you learn here

Not every edge is easy. An edge in the middle layer can often go straight down with one turn. A flipped edge needs a four-move fix (U' R' F R) that brings it down with white underneath. Two edges swapped in the bottom: lift one out with a half turn, turn the top, and put it in its own place.

    Algorithm: U' R' F R

Chapter 2 — The white cross: Put the four white edges around the white centre at the bottom, each one matching the centre on its side.
