You need: a potted plant with leaves, a clear plastic bag, a rubber band and a few hours of sunlight. What happens: tiny water drops cover the inside of the bag. Why: the roots take in water from the soil, the stem carries it up, and the leaves give out water vapour through tiny holes called stomata. This is transpiration. The vapour condenses on the bag as drops. A hot sunny day gives more drops than a cool cloudy one.
