What your child learns
Nursery to UKG · ages 3–6
ABC Letter Game is an alphabet game for young children: Polly reads each question aloud and the child taps the right letter. It practises capital and small letters, the first sounds of words and alphabet order — the basics of early phonics — with big buttons and no timer.
Tips to get better at ABC Letter Game
Sing the alphabet song together for “before and after” questions.
Trace the letter shape with a finger on the screen as you say its sound.
Play Easy until all 10 are right, then try Medium.
Yes. It is free in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Children can play without signing in.
Can a child who cannot read yet play?
Yes. Polly reads every question aloud, the picture questions need no reading, and the buttons are big. A parent can sit with very young children for the first round.
Will the first-letter questions confuse sounds?
No. We never offer a letter that sounds the same — no “k” when the word is “cat”, no “j” for “giraffe” — and we skip words like “onion” or “chick” whose first sound is not the letter’s usual sound.
Which level should we pick?
Easy for ages 3–4 (capital and small letters, first letters), Medium for ages 5–6 (first letters plus which letter comes before or after). Mix has everything.
