How to play Fraction Match
Choose Easy (halves and quarters), Medium (thirds, fifths, eighths and decimals) or Hard (with percentages).
All the cards are face up. Tap one card, then the card that is worth the same.
Equal cards turn green. If they are not equal, they shake — think again and try another pair.
Match every pair with no wrong pairs on Medium or Hard for the Fraction Matcher badge.
What your child learns
Class 2 to 7 · ages 7–12
Fraction Match is a fraction game for kids: all the cards are face up, and the child taps two cards that are worth the same — like ½ and 2/4, or 0.25 and ¼. It builds a real feel for equivalent fractions, then links fractions, decimals and percentages on the harder levels.
Tips to get better at Fraction Match
Think of a pizza: ½ is the same as 2 slices out of 4.
Change everything to the same kind first — for example, turn each card into a decimal.
Remember the big three: ½ = 0.5 = 50%, ¼ = 0.25 = 25%, ¾ = 0.75 = 75%.
Yes. It is free in the browser on phones, tablets and computers — no download.
What do children learn?
That one amount can be written in many ways: ½ = 2/4 = 0.5 = 50% = half of a roti. This is the idea of equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages taught in Classes 3 to 7.
Can two different pairs look equal?
No. Every value on the board is different, so a card has exactly one partner. If two cards are equal, they are a pair.
How is the score worked out?
The best score is all pairs with the fewest wrong pairs, then the fastest time. It is a matching game, not a memory test — every card stays face up.
