What is in these Hindi worksheets?

Children learn Hindi in a fixed order: first the वर्णमाला — 13 स्वर (अ to अः) and the व्यंजन क to ज्ञ — then short words without a matra (घर, कमल), then each matra from आ (ा) to औ (ौ) and the बारहखड़ी (क, का, कि, की …), and finally simple grammar: विलोम शब्द (opposites), पर्यायवाची शब्द (synonyms), लिंग, वचन, गिनती 1–20, names of colours, fruits, vegetables and animals, and the days and months. This free course follows that order for ages 4–9: Part 1 (UKG–Class 1) is the वर्णमाला, Part 2 (Class 1–2) is मात्राएँ and बारहखड़ी, and Part 3 (Class 2–3) is शब्द और व्याकरण. Questions are in simple Hindi with a short English hint in brackets for parents, and most words come with a picture. Print the worksheet of any lesson (40 questions with an answer key) or solve it online — the questions are new every time.

Hindi Worksheets for Kids questions

Which class and age are these Hindi worksheets for?

Ages 4–9, from UKG to Class 3. Part 1 (वर्णमाला: स्वर, व्यंजन, पहला अक्षर) suits UKG and Class 1, Part 2 (मात्राएँ and बारहखड़ी) suits Class 1 and 2, and Part 3 (विलोम, पर्यायवाची, लिंग, वचन, गिनती, names of fruits and vegetables, days and months) suits Class 2 and 3.

Is there a Hindi worksheet for Class 1?

Yes. Class 1 children usually work on lessons 1–16: स्वर and व्यंजन, words without a matra, every matra from आ (ा) to औ (ौ), and the बारहखड़ी. Each lesson prints a 40-question Hindi worksheet with an answer key.

Do you have Hindi worksheets for UKG?

Yes. Lessons 1–8 — स्वर, व्यंजन, the first letter of a picture word, the missing letter, अनुस्वार and चंद्रबिंदु, and matching — are made for UKG and early Class 1, with a picture next to most words.

Do the printable Hindi worksheets have answers?

Yes. Every printable worksheet comes with an answer key, and online every question has “Show me how” steps in simple Hindi with English hints. Print them, save them as PDF or solve them online — the questions are new every time.

Why are the questions in Hindi with English in brackets?

The question is in simple Hindi for the child; the short English hint helps parents who read English more easily. All Hindi words use standard school spellings, and lesson 22 gives the names of fruits, vegetables, colours and animals in both Hindi and English.

Can my child hear the questions read aloud?

Yes, for “सुनो और चुनो” (listen and choose) questions in the letter, first-letter, matra, गिनती and days-and-months lessons: the browser says a letter, word, number or day in Hindi, and the child taps what they heard (🔊 plays it again), so UKG children who cannot read yet can play. This needs a Hindi voice, which most Android phones and Chrome have. On a printed worksheet the word is written in the question, so a grown-up can read it aloud.

How do I get a Hindi certificate?

Sign in and pass the 20-question test of a lesson (16 or more right) to earn its badge. Pass every lesson in a part — Part 1 is lessons 1–8, Part 2 is 9–16, Part 3 is 17–24 — and you get that part’s certificate, with a code anyone can check.

Are these Hindi worksheets free?

Yes. All 24 lessons, practice, tests, printable worksheets with answers, badges and certificates are free. Classes with a TalentJR teacher (online or at home) are paid — request a call back for fees.
