Keyboard: U D L R F B turn a face, with Shift for the prime (U'). Y turns the whole cube. Backspace undoes.
Look straight at the face you want to turn. Without a prime, it turns clockwise — the way clock hands go.
Each face has a letter: U (up), D (down), L (left), R (right), F (front) and B (back). The letter alone means a quarter turn clockwise as if you were looking straight at that face. A letter with a prime, like R' (say “R prime”), turns the same face the other way.
Chapter 1 — Learn the moves: Every move has a letter. Learn U, D, L, R, F and B, the prime (') and the double (2), and meet the three kinds of pieces.
