Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between simple and compound interest?
Simple interest is charged only on the original amount: SI = P × R × T ÷ 100. Compound interest is also charged on the interest already added, so it grows faster: A = P(1 + R/100)ᵀ.
How do I calculate a discount percentage?
Discount % = (MRP − sale price) ÷ MRP × 100. The Discount Calculator also handles two discounts one after another, such as 20% + 10%.
Are these calculators accurate for real money decisions?
They use the standard formulas exactly, but banks may round differently or add fees. Use them to learn and estimate, and confirm loan or deposit figures with your bank.
