Snap command blocks together to guide a friendly robot to the star. 30 free puzzles for ages 5–10 (Class 1–4) that teach the big ideas of coding — step-by-step thinking, loops, fixing bugs and making decisions — right here in your browser.
Every puzzle is a tiny program. Children learn to think like a programmer — without typing a single line.
Putting steps in the right order — the first idea of every program.
Spotting patterns and repeating them instead of writing the same thing again.
Finding and fixing mistakes calmly, one step at a time.
Making decisions: “if the path is free, go — else, turn”.
Breaking a big problem into small steps and trying again until it works.
Left, right and “point of view” — great for maths and map skills too.
Tap a block to add it to your program, press ▶ Run, and watch the robot follow your steps. Tap a block in your program to take it out. Reach the ⭐ to solve the level — use the fewest blocks for ★★★. It works on phones, tablets and computers.
Start at level 1 — each chapter adds one new idea and only the blocks it needs.
Put moves in the right order. A computer does exactly what you say — one step at a time.
When the same steps come again and again, put them inside a repeat block — and even a loop inside a loop.
Each level starts with a program that has a mistake. Run it, watch where it goes wrong, and fix it.
Teach the robot to decide for itself: keep going until the star, and turn only when the path is blocked.
Collect every gem on the way and use everything you have learnt — with the fewest blocks you can.
Sit with your child for the first few levels. Ask “which way is the robot facing?” before every turn.
A crash is not failure — it is a clue. Ask “which block made it go wrong?” instead of giving the answer.
Be the robot! Your child gives you commands — forward, turn left — and you follow them exactly.
10–15 minutes a day is plenty. Stop while it is still fun.
Block coding is a way to learn programming by snapping together command blocks instead of typing code. Each block is one instruction, such as “move forward” or “repeat 3 times”. Children learn how programs work — order, loops, conditions — without worrying about spelling or punctuation.
These puzzles are made for children aged about 5 to 10 (Class 1 to 4). Five- and six-year-olds can do the first chapters with an adult reading along; older children can go all the way to the conditions and projects chapters on their own.
Yes. All 30 levels are completely free, with no sign-in, no ads to unlock and nothing to buy.
No. The game runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download or install, and no account is needed.
Only a little. Every block has a picture (⬆️ forward, ↩️ turn left, ↪️ turn right, 🔁 repeat), so young children can play with a grown-up reading the goal and hint aloud.
Reaching the star solves the level. You get ★★★ if you use no more blocks than the best answer, ★★ if you use up to two more, and ★ otherwise. Try again to make your program shorter!
Solved levels and stars are saved in this browser on this device only. Nothing is sent to TalentJR. If you clear your browser data, the progress resets.
Yes. Blocks use the same ideas as typed programming languages: sequences, loops, conditions and debugging. Only the way you write the program is different, so moving to typed code later is much easier.
Once your child can solve the loops and conditions chapters, they are ready for typed coding. From about Class 5, try the free Python courses on TalentJR Coding at coding.talentjr.in.
Finished the 30 levels? From about Class 5, children can move on to real typed code with the free Python lessons on TalentJR Coding.
