About these colouring pages

Counting and colouring together turns a number into something a child can see: 7 is not just a shape, it is seven hearts. Point to each object and count aloud as you colour it.

Begin with 1 to 5, then 1 to 10. Numbers 11 to 20 show how “teen” numbers grow, and zero is a fun one — there is nothing to colour!

Why colouring helps young children

Coloring pages are more than a way to keep busy — for ages 3 to 7 they build real early-learning skills.

Fine motor skills

Holding a crayon and staying inside a line strengthens the small hand muscles a child later needs for writing.

Focus and calm

Finishing one page is a small, achievable goal. Many children find colouring relaxing after a busy day.

Colours

Choosing and naming colours — and following a colour key — builds colour words and careful looking.

Letters and numbers

A big letter or number to colour, with a word or a set of objects to count, makes early literacy and maths hands-on.

Shapes and patterns

Shapes and repeating patterns are the first steps of geometry and pattern thinking.

Confidence

A finished, colourful page is something to show off. Praise the effort, not only staying inside the lines.

Questions

Are these colouring worksheets free?

Yes. The generator and every colouring page are completely free, with no sign-in. Make and print as many as you like.

How do I download a colouring page as a PDF?

Press “Print / Save as PDF”, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. Keep the paper size A4 and scale 100%. On a phone, use the print or share option of your browser.

What age are these coloring worksheets for?

Children aged about 3 to 7. Big letters, shapes, big-petal patterns and stripes suit ages 3–5 (nursery, LKG, UKG). Numbers 11–20, small-square colour by number and mandalas suit ages 5–7.

Who drew the pictures?

Every picture is original TalentJR artwork drawn by our own code: letters and numbers in thick outline, shapes, patterns and colour-by-number pictures we designed ourselves. There is no copied clip-art.

Can I print in black and white?

Yes. The colouring sheets are black outlines on white, so any printer works and uses very little ink. Only the on-screen answer key for colour by number is in colour, and it is printed only if you choose it.

How does colour by number work?

Each square has a number. Look up the number in the colour key at the bottom (for example 1 = red), colour the square that colour, and a picture appears. Squares without a number stay white.

Can I put my child’s name on the sheet?

Yes. Type it in the “Child’s name” box and it is printed on the name line of every page.

Is my child’s name saved or sent anywhere?

No. The sheets are made in your browser. The name you type stays on your device and is not sent to TalentJR or saved.

Can I get a different pattern?

Yes. Press “New pattern” and the generator draws a new mandala or stripe design. Print the ones you like.
