Who it is for

UKG (KG), Class 1 and Class 2 · ages 4–8 · about 10–15 minutes · you need: a pencil and a coloured pencil.

How to use this worksheet

  1. Read the chart aloud from the first number, pointing to each one.
  2. Spot the pattern — how much bigger is each number than the one before?
  3. Fill in or circle the numbers the sheet asks for.
  4. Cover the chart and say the sequence from memory.

Tip for parents and teachers: Saying the counting pattern aloud (“5, 10, 15 …”) builds the base for multiplication tables later. Clap on every number to make it a rhythm. Touching each object once (one-to-one counting) is the key skill. Real objects like buttons or spoons make great extra practice.

Counting by 2s

  • The sequence: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 …
  • Each number is 2 more than the one before it.
  • Counting by 2s is the same as saying the table of 2: 2 × 3 = 6, 2 × 5 = 10, 2 × 10 = 20.
