AI tip

Name the idea, then answer — “find which lesson the question is about, then use its rule”

  1. Learning from examples → AI; fixed rules → a normal program.
  2. Order: training data → model → prediction; good data is many, varied and correctly labelled.
  3. Generative AI makes new things and can hallucinate; one-sided data causes bias.

Use it for: Revision after Part 1, before moving on to prompting.

Worked example: 🧮 Is a basic calculator an AI system? → no, it follows rules

  1. A calculator follows fixed maths rules written by people.
  2. It never learns from examples, so: no, it follows rules.

Check: Try it: explain to someone at home, in 3 sentences, what AI is and one way it can go wrong ✓
