Screens and paints mix colours differently. A screen makes colours with light: its primaries are red, green and blue, and on a screen red and green light make yellow, green and blue make cyan, red and blue make magenta, and all three make white. Paint works the other way: its primaries are red, yellow and blue, mixing makes colours darker, and all three make brown.
