Copy makes a second copy and keeps the original, cut takes it away to move it, paste puts it in the new place, and undo takes back the last change. Shortcuts make this quick: Ctrl+C copy, Ctrl+X cut, Ctrl+V paste, Ctrl+Z undo, Ctrl+S save.
