Days, months and seasons — GK worksheet

A week has 7 days, from Monday to Sunday, and a year has 12 months, from January to December. Most months have 30 or 31 days; February has 28 (29 in a leap year). We wear woollens in winter, cotton in summer and raincoats in the rainy season.

Remember

Say them in order — “recite the days or months in order to find the next one”

  1. Days in order: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday — then Monday again.
  2. Months in order: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
  3. 30 days: April, June, September, November. February: 28 (29 in a leap year). All the others: 31.

Use it for: Class 1 GK lessons on the calendar, birthdays and planning the week.

Worked example: 📅 How many days are there in September? → 30

  1. April, June, September and November have 30 days.
  2. So September has 30 days.

Check: Count on your knuckles: September falls in a gap, so it has 30 days ✓
