Every sport has its own team size, equipment and place to play. A cricket, football or hockey team has 11 players, volleyball 6, basketball 5 and kabaddi 7. Cricket uses stumps and bails, badminton a shuttlecock, and boxing takes place in a ring.

Equipment: cricket – stumps and bails, badminton – shuttlecock, archery – bow and arrows, golf – putter, carrom – striker.
Places: tennis and badminton on a court, boxing in a ring, golf on a course, swimming in a pool, chess on a board. An over has 6 balls; the Olympic symbol has 5 rings.

Worked example: 🏅 How many players make up one kabaddi team (without substitutes)? → 7
In kabaddi, each side has 7 players on the court.
So one kabaddi team has 7 players.
