CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. HTML builds the page, CSS decides how it looks — colours, fonts, sizes, spacing and layout — and JavaScript makes it do things. CSS can be written in a style attribute on one tag, in a style tag in the head, or best of all in a separate .css file linked from every page, so one file styles the whole website.
