What you learn here

Every piece can fork. Knights are famous for it because their jumps are hard to see; pawn forks are deadly because a pawn is worth so little. Even if Black takes back, winning a rook for a knight (“the exchange”) is a good deal.

Chapter 6 — Tactics: Win material with the tricks strong players use: pins, skewers, double attacks, discovered attacks, removing the defender and overloaded defenders.
