A mandala (Sanskrit for circle) and a round rangoli are built from a centre point, with the same pattern repeated all around — that is radial symmetry. A butterfly or a heart has just one mirror line: fold it and the two halves match. A square has 4 lines of symmetry and a regular hexagon has 6.
✓ You passed this lesson’s test.
Repeat around the centre — “draw one part, then repeat it evenly all the way round”
Use it for: Drawing rangoli for Diwali, colouring mandalas, and maths lessons on symmetry.
Check: 2 middle folds + 2 diagonal folds = 4 ✓
