Indian money comes as coins and notes. The coins we use are ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10 and ₹20. The notes are ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500. The sign ₹ means rupees. To know which is worth more, just read the number.

Read the number — “the number printed on a coin or note tells its value — not its size or colour”
Use it for: Shopping with a grown-up, filling a piggy bank, and money questions in Class 1 and Class 2 maths.
Check: A ₹20 note buys the same as two ₹10 coins, so it is worth more than one ₹10 coin ✓
