    How to say it

    I'd like… / Could I have…? / Please make it less spicy. — “Ask for food politely and say what you like”

    1. Order: I'd like one masala dosa. / Could we get the bill, please? (मुझे … चाहिए)
    2. At the table: Could you pass the salt? / Have some more rice. / No more, thanks. I'm full.
    3. Cooking steps: First boil…, then fry…, add…, serve hot. Use the base verb for instructions.
    4. Preferences: I prefer tea to coffee. / I don't eat onion or garlic.

    Use it for: Restaurants, dhabas, canteens, tiffin time at office, family dinners, sharing recipes with friends.

    Worked example: I'd like one masala dosa.

    1. Try each option in the gap: like / likes / liking.
    2. I'd like = I would like + noun — polite ordering (मुझे … चाहिए).

    Check: I can say: I'd like one masala dosa. Please make it less spicy. Could we get the bill, please? ✓
