Each lesson has the idea, a worked example, unlimited practice with “Show me how”, a 20-question test and worksheets. Pass a lesson’s test to earn its badge; pass every lesson in a part to earn that part’s certificate (sign in to keep badges, certificates and progress).

Part 1 · Start speaking

Beginners — greet, be polite, react naturally and use the main tenses and helping verbs from day one.

Is this English speaking course free?

Who is this course for?

Anyone aged 12 or more: students in Classes 7–12, college students, parents, job seekers and working adults who understand some English but want to speak it confidently. Children aged 6–16 who are just starting can use Spoken English for Kids.

How long does the course take?

Sixty lessons. With one lesson a day you finish in about two months; many learners do two or three lessons a week alongside work or college. Your progress is saved, so you continue where you left off.

Do I need to know grammar first?

No. Each lesson starts with sentences you can use straight away, then shows the simple pattern behind them, with Hindi help. Part 1 covers the tenses and helping verbs you need for daily speaking.

Can I practise speaking, not only reading?

Yes. Every lesson has a voice for every sentence, a read-along, a conversation where you speak one person’s lines, and “Say it!” — your browser listens and gives you stars. Nothing is recorded or saved.

Does it help with job interviews and office English?

Yes. Part 6 covers office English, bank and travel conversations, business sentences, functions and a full job-interview lesson; Part 4 covers phone calls, apologies and polite requests.

How do I get a certificate?

Sign in and pass a lesson’s 20-question test (16 or more right) to earn its badge. Pass all 10 lessons of a part to get that part’s certificate, with a code anyone can check — six certificates in all.
