    How to say it

    What time / Which platform / Where + question — “Short questions that get you where you want to go”

    1. Ask about time: What time does the train/bus leave? (ट्रेन कितने बजे चलती है?)
    2. Ask about place: Which platform…? / Where is the…? — Which platform does the Chennai train leave from?
    3. Book or buy: I would like a ticket to + place / I have a booking under the name…
    4. Delays: The flight has been delayed. / Has the bus been cancelled? (रद्द हो गई है?)

    Use it for: Railway stations, bus stands, airports, taxis, hotels and asking strangers for directions on a trip.

    Worked example: Which platform does the train leave from?

    1. Try each option in the gap: from / to / at.
    2. leave from a place: the train leaves from platform 4 (… से निकलती है).
