    How to say it

    used to + verb = पहले करता था; so + adjective, such + a + adjective + noun — “Small patterns, big effect in speaking”

    1. used to + verb = past habit that has stopped: I used to play cricket. Question: Did you use to...?
    2. would rather + verb (than) = preference: I'd rather walk than take an auto.
    3. so + adjective + that (so hot that); such + a/an + adjective + noun + that (such a good movie that).
    4. myself/yourself/herself = ख़ुद; do/does/did + verb for emphasis: I do like it! Do come!

Use it for: Chatting with old friends, choosing plans, describing a great movie or tasty food, telling what you did on your own.

Worked example: I used to play the flute as a child.

    1. Try each option in the gap: used / use / using.
    2. Past habit = used to + verb. (पहले की आदत = used to)

Check: I can say: I used to live in Kanpur. I'd rather walk. It was so hot. I made it myself. ✓
