    How to say it

can / could / should / must / may / might + base verb — “These helpers add ability, advice, duty, permission or chance”

    1. Ability: can (सकता हूँ), past ability: could (सकता था) — I can swim. I could ride a cycle at six.
    2. Advice: should (चाहिए) — You should rest. Duty / rule: must or have to (करना ही है / पड़ता है).
    3. Permission: can / may (May I…? is more formal). Chance: might / may (शायद) — It might rain.
    4. Always base verb after them, no -s, no 'to': She can sing. (not 'can sings' / 'can to sing')

Use it for: Job interviews (skills), advising a friend, school or office rules, asking permission, talking about chances.

Worked example: She can sing very well.

    1. Try each option in the gap: sing / sings / to sing.
    2. After can, use the base verb — no -s, no 'to'. (can के बाद मूल क्रिया।)

Check: Can I say two things I can do, one thing I should do and one thing I must do this week? ✓
