A chart turns numbers into a picture. Use a bar chart to compare separate amounts (the July rainfall in four cities), a line chart for change over time (a puppy’s weight each week) and a pie chart for parts of one whole (what share of ₹100 of pocket money goes on saving, snacks and books). Give every chart a clear title, and practise saying what it shows in one sentence.
